ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Donna J. Wood is the first holder of the David W. Wilson Chair in Business Ethics at the University of Northern Iowa, beginning in 2002, after 22 years at the University of Pittsburgh. She earned her Ph.D. in sociology at Vanderbilt University in 1979. She has published twelve books and more than sixty articles, and has received a number of awards for her innovative and influential work. Professor Wood is a past chair of the Social Issues in Management division of the Academy of Management, and in 2000 received that division's Sumner Marcus Award for Distinguished Service to the Profession. She is a founder and past president of IABS, the International Association for Business & Society, and served as editor of the IABS journal, Business & Society, for four years. She is also past-president of the Society for Business Ethics. Her research, teaching, and consulting interests include global business citizenship, business ethics, corporate social performance, business-government relations, and stakeholder theory. Her latest books include Global Business Citizenship: A Transformative Framework for Ethics and Sustainable Capitalism, coauthored with three colleagues, and Woodhaven Press's new publication, BUSINESS ETHICS: TEXT AND WORKBOOK.
