Professional Accomplishments
While Dr. Degnin is interested in almost all aspects of the human person, his dissertation utilizes a post-modern reading of the relationship between compassion and ethics to examine issues in medical ethics. He has published a half-dozen articles, predominantly in medical ethics and continental thought. Dr. Degnin specializes in medical ethics and contential thought, including over two years of clinical experience in various hospitals. He has elsewhere taught in nursing schools, medical schools and hospitals. He also has taught more traditional philosophy courses like Logic, Ethics, Existentialism, Technology and Human Values and Creationism versus Evolution.
